What is Amazon Quick on desktop?
Amazon Quick on desktop is a native application that extends Amazon Quick to your machine. It gives Quick direct, persistent access to your files, your connected services, and the context of how your work fits together.
What you can do with Quick on desktop
Quick on desktop works with the files already on your machine. You grant access to the folders you choose, and Quick reads, writes, searches, and indexes them directly.
Amazon Quick runs in the cloud. Your conversations, memory, knowledge graph, agent-produced files, and the index of content you make searchable are kept for you in your Amazon Quick account, so they are available across the web, mobile, and desktop. What the desktop application adds is access to your machine: the files in the folders you grant, browser automation in your own browser, local code execution, and MCP servers and coding agents you configure locally. The desktop keeps only what it needs to work locally: your folder permissions, local connector configuration, and sign-in credentials.
Quick connects to the services you use every day: email, calendar, chat, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and more. Once connected, Quick pulls information from these services, takes actions in them, and combines data across them in a single conversation.
As you work with Quick, it builds a knowledge graph of the people, projects, and decisions relevant to you, and it retains your preferences and workflows in long-term memory. Together, these let Quick understand your work context and provide personalized responses that improve over time. You review and manage both from My context.
You create agents with their own instructions and knowledge, and pair them with schedules that run at intervals you define. Agents prepare for your meetings, summarize what changed in your channels, generate reports, and deliver results through an activity feed.
Quick on desktop is extensible. You connect MCP servers to add custom tools and integrations, delegate development tasks to coding agents, use browser automation to interact with web applications, and create skills that teach Quick new workflows.
